- “Epilepsy.” Mayo Clinic, Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, 10 Aug. 2019, www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/epilepsy/symptoms-causes/syc-20350093.
This site is very important to my research because the Mayo Clinic is a very reliable source but it also goes into depth about the topics that I need so i can get an even better understanding of my chosen topic. The Mayo Clinic is very good at clarifying what is and isn't a factor of developing Epilepsy and addressing some common questions.
“Epilepsy Exams and Tests: How Is Epilepsy Diagnosed?” WebMD, WebMD, 8 Aug. 2019, www.webmd.com/epilepsy/guide/diagnosing-epilepsy#1.
I chose this particular site to answer “ How is Epilepsy diagnosed?” because WebMD is where everyone goes to answer their biggest medical questions quickly. Now I am not trying to get my answers quickly but I am trying to find a very thorough answer to my question. This site said that the best ways to figure out and come to a conclusion on your diagnosis would be to get the various tests done on you that all Epileptics get done on a regular basis. The most common test that one would get to see if they had Epilepsy would be to get an Electroencephalogram (EEG) which is when your doctor places sensors on your scalp that record electrical activity in your brain, depending on the amount of activity that is occurring or not is a big factor to assume if you have the condition or not. or to get various blood tests done
This specific site and question is important to my projects progression because there are so many tests so I think that it is important to map out which tests are the most useful in the diagnosing process. These few tests are also tests that someone with Epilepsy would most certainly get done multiple times over.
- SUDEP Institute. “SUDEP.” Epilepsy Foundation, www.epilepsy.com/learn/early-death-and-sudep/sudep.
This question and site are both very important to the progression of my capstone project because all of these questions are extremely personal to me as but I also want to learn more things that maybe I didn't know in the first place. This is definitely one of the most important questions in my entire project because it is so scary and so constant in an Epileptics life. SUDEP is one of the biggest things that an Epileptic fears while they are fighting the disease. So yes this question and site are both very important to my entire project as a whole.
- “What Is Epilepsy?” Epilepsy Foundation, 21 Jan. 2014, www.epilepsy.com/learn/about-epilepsy-basics/what-epilepsy.
This is the most important question in my project. So many people misunderstand what Epilepsy is exactly and many people underestimate how powerful and scary the condition is. This question is the most important to my entire topic and project because it is quite literally summing up exactly what my topic is. This is the most commonly asked question for Epileptics and doctors on a daily basis
- “ Epilepsy - Diagnosis and Treatment - Mayo Clinic.” What Test Are Done For Seizures, fullexams.com/exam/what-test-are-done-for-seizures.
This question is important to understanding the struggles that an Epileptic goes through in his or her daily life as well as the drastic measures that need to be taken in order to understand the full extent and severity of someone's Epilepsy. It is important to understand these tests in order to create more awareness and support for the Epilepsy community. This site gives amazing insight on how to become more of a supporter.

Internal Subject Expert Matter Expert Plan
I do hope to ask Dr. Catherine Chu the initial questions such as What is Epilepsy?, What do most think Epilepsy is?, Why are people so afraid of Epilepsy? And What are the most common causes of Epilepsy?. I hope to get a much better explanation from the expert then maybe I could find on the internet. I would love to ask Dr. Chu why so many people are under the impression that Epilepsy is contagious. I intend to get thorough answers from her and see how they compare to the ones I have found in my research.

As for Mrs. Sanders I intend to ask her all of the same questions that I will be asking Dr. Chu but I am interested in learning how much she already knows about the topic. I am eager to learn her questions and the answers that she believes to be the correct ones. I know that she will not know the answers to many of the questions I intend to ask her but I want to use her as proof that the population does not always know as much as they might think. Mrs. Sanders is going to be a very good person to have this conversation with because she has a lot of curiosity on the subject as do I and I think that the conversation I will have with her will be very interesting.
